Project 2 - Propaganda Poster

I wanted to make an environmentalist propaganda poster, and decided to use the saying that was most liked from my triptych (Save The Bees Stop Killing The Bees). To show that we need to stop thinking about the endangerment of bees as being something we need to prevent but rather something we need to stop contributing to, I decided to make it clear that our actions directly impact bee populations. To do this, I made a tree that had been chopped down and put a broken beehive underneath it, to show that our actions have consequences. I added some dead bees and oozing honey with a bloody tint to indicate that the chopped tree has killed a hive of bees. I do feel that the blood looks unrealistic, but I'm not really sure what blood and honey look like when mixed. I added bunches of grass to fill in some of the white space and tried to add shadows throughout the poster to make it more realistic. I'm not very good at making shadows though, so I may have positioned some of them incorrectly and left some of them out altogether.
